Fèis (pronounced "Faysh") is the Scottish Gaelic word for a festival or feast. Over the past few years is has become synonymous with the Fèis movement, a highly successful series of music, song and dance workshops that take place throughout the Highlands and beyond.

A Fèis is a gathering of people from any age or background who come together to develop skills in the Gaelic arts and traditional music on a wide range of instruments. Tuition is given by some of the leading artists in the field. It is designed to be accessible and fun, yet professional and effective.

A Fèis is an entirely participative experience. It’s about learning through taking part. There's no requirement to be an expert on the fiddle or the accordion, or to speak Gaelic. It's just a chance to get stuck in!

Between Fèisean, we also organise weekly sessions, workshops and performances, and we have links with many Scottish groups and societies in the UK and beyond. We always welcome new people.
